Reading: Unsolved Child Murders (18 American Cases)

Unsolved Child Murders: Eighteen American Cases, 1956–1998Unsolved Child Murders: Eighteen American Cases, 1956–1998 by Emily G. Thompson

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

there was a few really well composed casefiles, and they earned all the stars. sadly it is in general just incredibly uninteresting and repetitive.

I feel like I should add that it sounds like I didn’t know what I was getting myself into when I claim that thorough retelling of cases is boring. Problem is the book rarely takes a different take than any other book, it doesn’t bring anything new to the table.

If i wanted to read an essay, I would have bought me a collection of essays.

Such a damn shame, because I really, really wanted to like this book.
