Don’t Scream 3: 30 More Tales to Terrify by Blair Daniels

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I think the third installment in this series is just as strong as the second, but not as good as the first. Really there is nothing much to say about it besides it being a strong collection of short horror stories, and in that aspect very run of the mill. However the author has a knack for writing some super disturbing psychological stuff, and that is absolutely my jam.
This is not for everyone, but I absolutely love the series.

While i don’t think it’s as good as the first – then it had some large shoes to fill, so with that taken into consideration; this is a very good collection of different horror stories.
And I will say that there was not a single one I skipped through cause it was boring, hence the 4 stars, but did it unsettle me and engage me? not really.. so all in all, a really good collection of high end short stories well worth a read.

Honestly then I’m writing this long after I read it, so I do not recall why I gave it 3 stars, but I DO recall that I liked what I read enough to buy the sequel. I seem to recall it’s mostly the same as many other collection of short stories – when it’s good it’s awesome, but when it’s not you start to wonder if penguins have knees or get an urge to sort your socks. I have other books by the author, and I am always pretty sure their writing are of general really good quality.
