Under Rotting Sky: Stories by Matthew V. Brockmeyer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is the best thing I read in a long time. Truly awesome collection of stories and I am dead sure I will revisit this book. It’s well written, uncompromising and adult.

Black Rainbow by Scott Savino
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I think I might have expected a bit too much from this book – I wanted it to be good, I expected it to be awesome. It’s just not. Some of the stories are truly inspired and I will give the collection that – but too many of the stories are just not good, and one is super bad. However I would buy a sequel =)
One Bite at a Time: Short Stories of Horror by Brandon Faircloth
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I was really plesantly surprised – I absolutely loved this! Never heard of the author before but was reccomended this from a facebook friend. It is a super solid collection of short stories, and none of them felt trite or cliche ridden.
The Devil’s In The Details by J.D. McGregor
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
This is a odd one – it was recommended to me by friends in the horror community, and I might have had too high expectations to it or something, but truth is that I was bored to tears. I feel like I should mention that there are two stories which are actually alright, one is actually good (the story that named the book). Bottom line is that I really wanted to like this, and I just didn’t. I have to check out some more stuff from this author to make up my mind, I mean it could be that it just didn’t really live up to the hype. But none the less then i’d not recommend it.
